Carla’s Story

After completing the MyBodyTutor program, Carla learned that lasting weight loss comes from embracing a sustainable lifestyle rather than following rigid diet rules.

Here’s what Carla has to say in her own words:

Growing up I struggled with my weight starting at around age 10. I was always up and down. I yo-yoed through my late teens, early 20s and 30s. After having my twins boys at age 37, I really struggled to get the extra weight off, and I was the biggest I’ve ever been in my whole life! I stayed that way for about a year and a half.

I couldn’t do the things I loved anymore like hiking and skiing. Just being able to get down on the ground with my boys was a huge struggle! Everything hurt! My feet, back and knees! I was miserable and had finally reached my breaking point and that’s when I found MBT online searching for a weight loss program.

I have tried so many other things in the past to lose weight like the 17 day diet, Atkins, diet pills and Weight Watchers to name a few. I had some success with Weight Watchers but I didn’t want to have to count points because it was driving me crazy. Plus, I didn’t have time for the meetings!

MBT worked so well for me because I needed someone to hold me accountable, motivate me, and keep me on track. That’s exactly what I got! It’s like having your very own nutritionist, health coach, trainer, and friend right there to help you stay focused on your goals every day.

I did have doubts about joining MBT. Will this work? What if I fail? And I can’t afford this!? I thought, yes it is expensive, but it is an investment in myself to get my health and happiness back! So to me it was worth every penny!

I want to thank you so much for all I’ve learned. I’ve learned so much about myself. MBT taught me the power of consistency and how to find balance so you can have those nights of indulging with your favorite foods and not gain any weight back. I’ve lost 45 pounds with MBT. I have reached my goal and I am able to once again enjoy the great outdoors. I have no more aches and pains. I am fitting into my old clothes. I feel in control around food. I got my confidence back, and the best thing of all is that I can play with my twin boys and step daughter and just experience life with them!

This does not feel like a diet. I know I can sustain this long term. It feels totally natural and sustainable so I know I will never go back to being overweight and miserable!
